Founder and Honorary President of CycloLab Ltd., Chief Executing Officer, editor of "Cyclodextrin News". Graduated as chemical engineer he received his Ph.D. at Budapest Technical University. He was formerly head of the Cyclodextrin laboratory of Chinoin Pharmaceutical and Chemical Works Ltd. (Budapest, Hungary). He was professor at Kossuth Lajos University, Debrecen and at the University of Havana (Cuba). He was the member of several academic committees, of the Editorial board of "J. Inclusion Phenomena" and of the International Organising Comittee of the Cyclodextrin Symposia as well as of the Symposia on Molecular Recognition. He was author and co-author of over 250 scientific papers, over 200 conference presentations, 6 books, and over 100 patents. The total number of citation of his papers and books is over 5000. Besides several national and international awards (e.g. Moet-Henessy award) he received earlier, in 2003 he won Széchenyi prize, the highest award in science in Hungary. |
