Role of CycloLab: Participant NEW SOIL TESTING METHODS SUPPORTING THE SITE SPECIFIC RISK ASSESSMENT The aim of the research is to develop new soil testing methods for characterizing the physico-chemical properties of the contaminants and for measuring and forcasting their ecological effects and site-specific risk. Physico-chemical methods will be developed for the qualitative and quantitative determination of the toxic metals and organic contaminants in the soil, for characterizing their distribution and transport. Biological and gentechnological methods will be worked out to describe the ecosystem. Ecotoxicological methods will be introduced to measure the effects of the environmental samples. Integrating the results into the environmental and health risk assessment procedures (EUTGD softwares) model sites will be assessed. COORDINATOR |
